Never link your web site to any link-farms or other search engine unfriendly neighborhoods.

Never use doorway pages as these pages are designed for machines only, not for human.  Search engines basically index human friendly pages containing the information relevant to the search.

Make your title tags with text links not by images. Insert the title tag within the HTML of your text link to increase the weight to the link and the page where the link is resided. It could be the alt tag for images.

Put brief description using alt tag. Search engine that indexes images then will be able to find your pages and will also be helpful for the readers who use text only web browsers.

Submit your Website to any search engine by yourself without using any submission service or submission software. If you do so your side could get a penalty or even can get banned.

Submit only once and is no need to submit every two weeks. Submitting more than one page is not essential. Search engine algorithm will follow the links and a nice link trail added with your site will resulted in a proper indexing of you whole Website.
